According to Mary-Jo spring is right around the corner and it is a great time to refresh your home. Since the season only lasts for three months, you have to do it right! There are so many unique things you can do to prepare your space for the season. You can add some fresh accent pillows or a new coat of paint, take away your heavy comforter and exchange the winter scents for vibrant citruses to have your house styled for spring!

Pantone has named classic blue the color of the year for 2020. Blue has always been a classic color in my book, being one of my favorites in my designs over the years- it’s timeless! This is the perfect color to add to your room whether on the walls or throw pillows. This color has the ability to coexist with a variety of other colors, which makes it great for styling purposes. A classic blue area rug, candle holder, shower curtain, or chair could be the finishing touch you were seeking.

I am also seeing fabrics and wall coverings in a very soft, pale blush tone. This is why Benjamin Moore named First Light, #2062-30 their color of the year 2020. It is evoking a throwback to the soft and sexy genre. This color can give your abode a variety of different themes, whether it is with dark colors, gold or silver, or bright green shades. Simply put, there are so many different things you can do with this color of the year, especially when styling for this season.

Wallpaper in a powder room is also one of my favorite design elements. It can be fun and whimsical or serious and sometimes even daring. This can give the room personality and expression. Refresh your cabinets by hand-painting them to create a rustic look. Don’t forget to hang the perfect piece of art on the wall. Remember to pick something that reflects your personality- this is a room that all of your guests will see!

Spring is almost among us and we want our clients and potential clients to be ready for it! Jazz the place up and accessorize your space because nothing feels better than loving where you live! If you’ve never worked with an Interior Design team before, you should absolutely consider it. No one can do it like the professionals, and the Lawrence-Mayer team will make your experience stress-free.
